In 1963, the Folzani family entered the story of Parma ham and “GRECI & FOLZANI” was born.
The factory was located in Felino, at the base of the foothills of the Apennine mountains in the Parma province, the area where typical production of the most famous of Italian hams, Parma ham, originates.
This is a region of rolling landscapes, criss-crossed by seasonal streams which, arising in the mountains close to the sea, carry winds and light currents: a specific micro climate, ideal for slow maturing of salted pork legs, according to traditions handed down over the centuries through farming families.
Thus, from generation to generation, in our family knowledge of ham production is transmitted as a valuable heritage, but with a specific contribution that marks us out: a wise balance between tradition and innovation, a perfect combination which is renewed after more than 50 years, in the historic brand “Greci & Folzani”.
Our vision
As the years go by, thanks to ongoing investment policies, we have modernised the factory, which now measures over 7000 m² and contains advanced technology facilities and equipment, with the aim of both conserving and optimising the traditional production process.
We produce high quality hams, a choice rewarded by the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers: and this is precisely the objective of our work.
As the years go by, we have focused our sales policy on the demands of export markets, following a natural vocation which gives us a stable presence on the global market. From Europe to the United States of America, from Australia to South America, not forgetting China, our ham is an example of the excellence of the “Made in Italy” mark all around the world.
